The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it is actually alarmed concerning the large amount of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“That is due to lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area every day. The services place made for intervention experiences a significant inflow of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tough for the office to attend to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more assets to empower the servicing of all consumers and raise entry to website Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
